Taraba Café, Stuttgart

Café Taraba 2.0 is a specialty coffee space located in Stuttgart, Germany, designed by FRGMNT Studio — a Seoul-based practice known for its precise, system-oriented spatial thinking.

The interior reflects a distinctly East Asian sensibility: restraint, material clarity, and a quiet devotion to function. Monolithic forms in stainless steel and exposed concrete define the spatial rhythm, creating an environment that is both technical and contemplative. Every element — from the recessed tap system to the modular bench seating — is resolved with architectural clarity and minimal intervention.

Rather than individual tables, the seating layout encourages communal interaction, echoing the founder Meris Prosic’s vision of the café as a place to “close the gate” and leave behind everyday stress. Taraba 2.0 becomes not only a coffee bar, but a carefully calibrated space for calm, focus, and shared experience.
